Full Transcript
Elizabeth Holmes, the former CEO of Theranos, received a Thanksgiving visit from her family while serving her sentence at Federal Prison Camp Bryan in Texas. On Friday, November 24th, 2023, Holmes was seen in the prison yard with her husband, Billy Evans, and their two children, William and Invicta.
The family appeared to enjoy their time together, with Holmes and Evans sitting across from each other, catching up on life. At one point during the afternoon, Holmes stood up and playfully swung her son, William, around, reminiscent of a day at the park.
She also held her daughter, Invicta, speaking softly to her and smiling widely. Despite the prison environment, Holmes was seen maintaining her fitness routine by doing curls with a couple of dumbbells.
This Thanksgiving gathering was not her family's first visit since her incarceration; they have been visiting her regularly since she began serving her sentence in 2023. Holmes, who was convicted of wire fraud and conspiracy to commit wire fraud, was sentenced to 11 years and three months in prison for her role in defrauding investors out of nearly 900 million dollars.
She remains a figure of public interest, alongside other notable prisoners like Ghislaine Maxwell and former 'Real Housewives' star Jen Shah, who are also incarcerated at the same facility. The family outing adds a personal touch to the ongoing narrative surrounding Holmes' legal troubles, illustrating the impact of her situation on her family life.
