SpaceX successfully launched 29 Starlink satellites as part of its ongoing efforts to expand its satellite internet coverage. The Falcon 9 rocket lifted off from Cape Canaveral Space Force Station at 12:25 a.m.
EST on December 15, 2025. This mission, known as Starlink 6-82, marked SpaceX's 120th Starlink launch of the year and the 163rd Falcon 9 flight in 2025. Weather conditions were initially a concern, with only a 30 percent chance of favorable conditions predicted, but the launch proceeded successfully.
The first stage of the Falcon 9 rocket completed its flight, landing on the drone ship 'A Shortfall of Gravitas' in the Atlantic Ocean, making it the ninth flight for booster B1092. The deployment of the satellites occurred about an hour after liftoff, adding to the growing Starlink constellation that aims to provide global internet coverage.
This launch follows a successful deployment from California just a day prior, underscoring SpaceX's commitment to expanding its satellite internet service.
