Education company PhysicsWallah and Sunstone Education Technology Private Limited have launched the Samvedna mental wellness program aimed at providing essential support for students' mental health. This initiative, as stated in a report by The Hindu, comes after both companies signed a Memorandum of Understanding to institutionalize mental wellness within educational frameworks.

Sunstone emphasizes that mental wellness is a core pillar of accountable education, aiming to ensure students not only achieve academic success but also thrive emotionally. The Samvedna program will deploy a team of qualified counselling psychologists from PhysicsWallah who will offer confidential one-on-one and group counselling sessions.

Regular sensitization and anti-ragging sessions will also be conducted to promote awareness around mental health challenges and potential solutions. The program will feature a dedicated helpline, supported by advanced case management systems, enabling direct access to psychiatric intervention for critical cases.

Ashish Munjal, Co-Founder and CEO of Sunstone, highlighted the belief that employability begins with a healthy mind, and the Samvedna program is a structured approach to ensure students receive professional, timely, and compassionate support during their academic journey.

Alakh Pandey, Co-founder and CEO of PhysicsWallah, added that academic progress is closely linked to mental well-being, and Samvedna aims to combine proactive outreach, professional counselling, and real-time intervention.

A joint Samvedna Committee will oversee the program's operations, reviewing monthly dashboards and ensuring the rapid escalation of high-risk cases, reflecting a commitment to student care in the educational sector.

The launch of Samvedna signifies a growing recognition of the mental health challenges faced by students in educational environments, reinforcing the importance of mental wellness support as part of the student experience.
