The family of Cameron Graham, a North Forsyth student killed in a stabbing incident, plans to seek legal action after no charges were filed in the case. Forsyth County District Attorney Jim O'Neill stated that the two students were friends, a claim the Graham family disputes.
In response to the incident, Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Schools will implement daily security screenings at middle and high schools as students return to class. Meanwhile, in Greensboro, police have charged Corey Thomas Powell, 31, with first-degree murder related to a fatal shooting on South Holden Road.
Additionally, the city of Greensboro has activated White Flag warming centers due to freezing temperatures, providing shelter for those in need.
