Full Transcript
All northbound lanes of Interstate 15 at Lamb Boulevard are closed due to a crash involving a semi-truck. According to the Nevada Highway Patrol, troopers responded to a call for service at nine thirteen p.m.
Saturday and discovered a jackknifed semi-truck. The truck was reportedly heading south on I-15 when it failed to maintain its lane, veered into the center median, and then re-entered the northbound lanes.
The semi is leaking fuel on the highway; however, no injuries have been reported, and there is currently no danger to the public. Traffic has been diverted to the Lamb Boulevard on-ramp while crews work to clean the area and remove the truck from the road.
Motorists are advised to avoid the area until the freeway reopens. This incident highlights ongoing transportation challenges in the Las Vegas metro area, as recent accidents involving semi-trucks on I-15 have become a concern for commuters and travelers alike.
The report from the Las Vegas Review-Journal emphasizes the need for caution in this busy area, especially as it affects traffic flow during peak hours. As the situation develops, updates will be provided to keep the public informed about the reopening of I-15 and any related traffic impacts.
