Las Vegas police are investigating a tragic incident where a driver, Rogelio Camacho, was arrested following a fatal crash that killed 46-year-old chef Julio Nave-Giron. According to a report from the Las Vegas Review-Journal, Camacho was driving a 2014 Mercedes-Benz S-Class at speeds exceeding 110 miles per hour in a 30 mph zone before colliding with Nave-Giron's Ford SUV at a four-way stop sign on December 16.
Camacho faces multiple charges, including two felony counts of DUI resulting in death and reckless driving resulting in death. The police report indicated that an empty Smirnoff can was found in his vehicle.
Camacho sustained moderate injuries and could not perform sobriety tests due to his medical condition. He is scheduled to appear in court on December 18.
