Las Vegas police are ramping up safety measures following a series of violent incidents, including fatal stabbings and hit-and-run accidents. According to the Las Vegas Review-Journal, police conducted a crosswalk enforcement operation at East Flamingo and South Mojave Roads after a pedestrian fatality occurred on December 5, 2025.

During this operation, officers issued 84 citations to drivers for failing to yield to pedestrians. Sgt. David Stoddard emphasized the importance of being vigilant as a pedestrian, noting that having the right of way does not guarantee safety.

In another incident, police arrested a man for fatally stabbing a pedestrian while he was reportedly acting erratically. Lt. Robert Price stated that the suspect was chasing multiple individuals with a knife before he was taken into custody.

The police urge the community to remain alert and report any suspicious activity as they continue to address safety concerns in the area.
