The Clark County Redevelopment Agency has approved a comprehensive redevelopment plan for Chinatown, which aims to enhance infrastructure and community spaces. This unanimous decision includes the Inspiring Spring Mountain Redevelopment Plan and the Corridor Improvement Grant Program, which allocates $750,000 for property owners and tenants in the area.
The redevelopment aims to make Chinatown more walkable, improve mobility and transit access, and celebrate cultural heritage. Key projects will include a pedestrian walkway between Chinatown Plaza and Shanghai Plaza, a mural project featuring local artists, and improvements to Spring Mountain Road, scheduled for completion by Lunar New Year in 2026.
The grant program allows eligible applicants to receive up to $75,000 to support their businesses, reinforcing the community's economic vitality.
