Athletics president Marc Badain led the first media tour of the Athletics ballpark construction site on December 9, 2025, at the former Tropicana site on the Las Vegas Strip. The $2 billion project is currently between 10 and 15 percent complete, with crews working on the lower concourse and beginning the next level of the stadium, which will include suites behind home plate.

A green concrete cylinder marks the future home plate location, and construction is underway on six buttresses that will support the facility's five-layer metal roof structure. Badain noted that two of the support structures are completed, with work progressing on three more.

The longest roofing panel will measure nearly 700 feet. The project is being managed by Mortenson-McCarthy, who also oversaw the construction of Allegiant Stadium, and remains on schedule and on budget.

Badain stated that a 4D rendering showed the construction timeline is on track. The ballpark will occupy nine acres of the 35-acre site, with Ballys Corp. planning a mixed-use project for the remaining area.

Players have already toured the site, expressing excitement about the state-of-the-art facilities, including hydrotherapy pools that have already been poured. The stadium is anticipated to open in spring 2028, enhancing Las Vegas's sports scene and tourism offerings.
