Henderson police are investigating a tragic incident involving a dog that was found dead after being abandoned in a trash bag. According to the Las Vegas Review-Journal, on Tuesday, November 4th, 2025, the Henderson Police Department received a report around 8 p.m. regarding a social media post about the dog.
Residents discovered the animal, described as a brown Maltese or Poodle mix, approximately 10 to 12 years old, inside a trash can located in the 2300 block of Spalato Court at around 6:30 p.m. They promptly transported the dog to a local animal hospital for medical attention.
Unfortunately, the dog died shortly after arrival at the hospital. Authorities have stated that animal protection services will conduct a necropsy to investigate the circumstances surrounding the dog's death.
