Clark County officials are set to give away thousands of trees at Sewell Elementary School in Henderson. The event will take place on Saturday from 1 p.m. until 4 p.m. This tree giveaway is part of a larger project called Stay Cool Clark County.

Approximately 2,300 trees will be distributed, primarily to pre-registered citizens, with some available on a first-come, first-served basis. The county has partnered with the Arbor Day Foundation for this initiative.

Additionally, a handful of trees will be set aside specifically for parents of children attending C.T. Sewell Elementary. Experts will be on hand to provide advice on tree planting and care. This event showcases Henderson's commitment to environmental sustainability and community engagement.

Further emphasizing community spirit, Henderson is also planning a Veterans Day parade to honor local veterans. These events reflect the city’s dedication to fostering community participation and honoring its residents.
