Comcast is actively exploring a potential acquisition of Warner Bros. Discovery's streaming and studio assets. The company has engaged financial heavyweights Goldman Sachs and Morgan Stanley to assess this opportunity, as reported by Reuters.

Notably, any acquisition would exclude Warner Bros. Discovery's legacy cable assets, which include the TNT Sports networks. Last month, Warner Bros. Discovery initiated a sale process after receiving an unsolicited bid from Paramount, owned by David Ellison, the billionaire heir to the Oracle fortune.

Paramount has made multiple offers for the entire Warner Bros. Discovery, including TNT Sports, but all have been rejected thus far. Meanwhile, Warner Bros. Discovery is planning a significant company split, set to take place in April 2026.

This split will separate its streaming and studio assets, rebranded as Warner Bros., from its legacy cable assets, which will be known as Discovery Global. Some financial analysts believe this separation will unlock more value for Warner Bros.
