SkyShowtime has announced a new Polish original documentary titled Edyta Gorniak, which will be released as a two-part series in 2026. The documentary will provide an authentic and compelling portrayal of the singer's journey from humble beginnings to becoming one of Poland's most iconic artists.

It will explore Edyta Gorniak's spectacular global music career alongside the everyday realities of being a woman and a mother, revealing the contrasts between these two realms. The documentary is described as a personal story of feminine strength, courage, forgiveness, love, and the power of hope, featuring both archive material and new personal perspectives.

SkyShowtime's chief content officer Kai Finke emphasized the platform's commitment to telling exceptional true stories, following their first Polish original documentary series Krychowiak: One Step From the Top.

The documentary is produced by Constantin Entertainment Polska, with Michal Brozonowicz as producer, Agata Chwaszczewska as executive producer, and Aleksandra Machnik as director. Edyta Gorniak began her career as a musical theater performer and made her Broadway debut at 19.

She is known for being Poland's first-ever Eurovision Song Contest participant in 1994, finishing second with the song To nie ja, which remains the country's best result in the competition.
