Netflix House, a new entertainment hub, has officially opened at the King of Prussia Mall, showcasing a vibrant blend of attractions that celebrate the streaming giant's most popular shows. According to PhillyVoice, the venue transforms an empty department store into an immersive experience featuring escape rooms, mini golf, and virtual reality games, all wrapped in a whimsical theme park atmosphere.
Visitors are greeted by a striking red envelope at the entrance, surrounded by colorful sculptures and a giant mural depicting beloved Netflix characters, setting the tone for a fun-filled adventure. The first floor boasts an atrium adorned with lights and props, including the iconic Hand from the 'Addams Family' spinoff, 'Wednesday.' One of the main attractions is 'Wednesday: Eve of the Outcasts,' where guests start in a meticulously decorated replica of a dorm room before progressing to a spooky carnival themed around the series.
Here, they receive arcade tokens to engage in games like a unique version of whack-a-mole and a laser shooting gallery, while also piecing together clues in a murder mystery through interactive texting.
For fans of the pirate-themed manga, the 'One Piece' escape room offers a thrilling challenge, locking participants in a prison cell where they must solve riddles to escape while hunting for a mystical fruit that grants superpowers.
Ticket prices for these experiences start at $39 per person, with an array of offerings available to keep visitors engaged for hours. The venue spans an impressive 100,000 square feet, providing ample space for various activities while ensuring that guests can take breaks from the visual stimulation.
On the second floor, Netflix Bites serves as a cafeteria-style restaurant and bar, where visitors can enjoy themed menu options amid decor that nods to popular shows like 'Bojack Horseman' and 'Orange is the New Black.' Additionally, the venue features a mini golf course themed around Netflix's top shows, costing $15 to play, and three virtual reality games tied to 'Stranger Things,' 'Squid Game,' and 'Rebel Moon,' each priced at $25.
A 229-seat theater is also incorporated into the space for screenings and trivia nights. Sources indicate that Netflix employed over 260 locals in the development of Netflix House, which is seen as a significant investment in creating an engaging destination amid the decline of traditional retail.
The report highlights that this is the first of three planned Netflix Houses, with upcoming locations in Dallas and Las Vegas, demonstrating Netflix's commitment to expanding its experiential reach beyond traditional streaming.
