Joanne Froggatt, the Golden Globe-winning actress known for her role in Downton Abbey, is closing her production company, Insight Pictures, to focus on acting and family. Froggatt founded Insight in 2020 and, two years later, signed an exclusive first-look deal with MGM International Television Productions.

Under this deal, she developed Love to Tell the Tale, a comedy series about a single woman's quest for motherhood. In her statement, Froggatt described winding up Insight Pictures as a considered personal decision and expressed gratitude for the valuable experience it provided.

The company is being wound up voluntarily, with Opus Restructuring appointed as liquidator. Last year, Insight reported capital and reserves of 413,284 dollars, equivalent to approximately 550,000 dollars.

Currently, Froggatt stars in MobLand, a breakout Paramount+ drama alongside Tom Hardy, Pierce Brosnan, and Helen Mirren, with production for Season 2 currently underway in the UK. Froggatt is also known for her roles in Liar and Angela Black, and she is represented by Conway Van Gelder Grant and Principal Entertainment LA.
