Brittany Snow revealed that leaving Hollywood at the age of 23 was a life-saving decision for her. In an interview with Self magazine, she stated, 'My life depended on it.' Snow, known for her roles in 'The Pacifier' and 'Hairspray,' faced a severe battle with an eating disorder that led her to rehab at just 19 years old.

She left rehab early to film 'John Tucker Must Die' and later opened up about her struggles in a 2007 essay for People magazine. Snow described her second rehab experience as frightening, detailing a moment when a fellow patient threatened to sell her story to the media.

With her parents' support, she transitioned to an outpatient program, which involved therapy and regular check-ins. Snow emphasized how crucial it was to rewire her mindset, stating, 'I could count on myself and I could trust myself.' After her hiatus, she returned to Hollywood with a role in 'Pitch Perfect,' expressing gratitude for the opportunity, saying, 'I didn't think I was ever going to work again.' Recently, Snow starred in Netflix's 'The Hunting Wives,' where she portrayed Sophie, who develops a romantic relationship with Margo, played by Malin Akerman.

Despite her history with an eating disorder, Snow feels confident while filming intimate scenes, crediting Akerman's collaborative approach during their scenes together. The show became a hit, amassing 5.2 million views in its first week, and a second season has been confirmed for summer 2026.

Snow is also set to appear in the Hulu drama 'Murdaugh: Death in the Family' and Netflix's 'The Beast In Me,' premiering November 13.
